Vilnius: Mayor Šimašius attended Alter Domus opening event

Luxembourg’s financial services group Alter Domus has officially opened their office in Vilnius. They stated that they have chosen Vilnius “as a strategic location based on its proven track record of global business operations centres and access to talent”.

Mayor of Vilnius Remigijus Šimašius attended the opening event and stated via social media: “Yesterday we opened a branch of the investment services company Alter Domus in Vilnius, from where services are already provided to the whole world.”

Mayor Šimašius continued: “I remember that, a year ago, when the company management came to Vilnius to decide whether we would be chosen from several great cities, I was their guide through the city. The city and its creativity sometimes have to be presented in this way as well.”

Alter Domus’ Vilnius office is the centre for client service delivery and critical group functions, such as HR and technology. The office has rapidly integrated itself as part of Alter Domus’ organization, recruiting experts who pride themselves on delivering exceptional service at local, regional and global levels. 70 people have already been employed, while the intention is to employ another 230 specialists in one year.

Earlier in May, it was announced that the company would establish a regional center in Europe for the countries of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and would employ specialists in asset administration and maintenance, payment and cash management operations and technology.

The opening event was also attended by the Minister of Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė, the head of Invest in Lithuania Elijus Čivilis and the heads of Alter Domus.
