Turin is eager to host Eurovision 2022


After winning the Eurovision Song Contest, Italy has to choose which city will host next years’ edition. 17 cities initially showed their strong interest, but only 11 submitted their official bid. After that. the number got narrowed to five: Bologna, Milan, Turin, Pesaro and Rimini.

Now, city of Turin has released a promotional video of its Eurovision 2022 bid. Mayor of Turin Chiara Appendino plays a key role. She showcases the city’s iconic architecture and historical heritage such as: the tradition of Italian expresso, the birthplace of the Italian automotive industry and the Italian television, the fusion of Italian communication and 2006 Olympic Games.

During the last few days, Turin has also projected the logo of its Eurovision 2022 candidacy on Mole Antonelliana.

The city wants to host the competition at the modern Pala Alpitour, indoor venue which can host approximately 13,000 spectators.
