The new VR experience of the Notre-Dame cathedral

The city of Paris is sponsoring a new project that will help the citizens, but also the visitors of Paris, to get in touch with the incredible history of the famous cathedral Notre-Dame which represents France’s leading monument, by allowing them to explore its architecture with the incredible virtual reality device.

The project “Eternelle Notre-Dame” presents a unique and immersive virtual reality tour of Notre-Dame cathedral which has been completely recreated in the virtual form to the very last detail.

Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo said: “I am pleased that the City of Paris is sponsoring Eternelle Notre-Dame, which allows Parisians, as well as visitors from all over France and the four corners of the world, to discover or rediscover, through an immersive journey, the beauty of this emblem of our common history”.

This amazing project will open for public on January 15 at the Espace Grande Arche in la Défense, and it is planned that “The Eternelle Notre-Dame” will make the tour of France, Europe, and the rest of the world, making it accessible to a large number of people. This project will further educate people about the famous French architecture and its rich history.

The Orange Group and Amaclio Productions announced the launch of this project and they want to provide the public with this unique experience. People who visit “Eternelle Notre-Dame” will also become part of the project and by buying the tickets, they will automatically donate to the restoration work that is planned in the future. It is planned that 30% of the ticket price will be donated by Orange.

Notre-Dame de Paris is one of the most visited chatedrals in Europe, and by bringing this project to life, more people will have a chance to visit it virtually, without a need of traveling to the city of lights. (photo credit: Leif Linding/Pixabay)
