For that occasion, mayor Kufen stated: “Caritas Refugee Aid in Essen has been helping displaced people in Duhok province since 2015. There has been great work done with the help of Caritas. We, as the city of Essen, support Duhok authorities in fields of healthcare and IDP issues”.

Tatar said Kufen agreed to increase aid in different areas, while the Catholic organization Caritas which serves the poor and promotes charity and justice throughout the world, is a key player for the mentioned help.
