News

Mayor of Essen Thomas Kufen attended a special event which marked the building shell completion of the new green business park Carnaperhof in the German city.

Mayor Kufen stated on social media: ‘’A topping-out ceremony is being held today to celebrate the completion of the building shell for the new “Carnaperhof” business park in Essen-Nord. Four modular buildings with a total of 32 units are being built on an area of around two hectares around the former Matthias Stinnes coal mine.’’

According to Lokal Klick, the new business park will be home to numerous companies from the high-tech industry, e-mobility sector and beyond. They include Testo Industrial Service GmbH , the dental technology provider Dental Serviceteam Wendt + Johannes GmbH, the IT company Marvin Püthe IT- Service, the online marketing company Intellegoo GmbH and the car parts manufacturer N-Techniks.

‘’More than 30 percent of the units, ranging in size from 140 m² to 1,200 m², have already been let. Due to the progress of construction and the move-in date in May 2022, further leasing is developing rapidly,’’ mayor Kufen also stated.

In less than seven months time, BVI.EU and Unibau finished the shell of the building on Hermann-Drescher-Weg. The properties are set to be handed over in the first quarter of this year.

Thanks to the utilization of heat pump technology, this new green business park will also be CO2-neutral. There are 12 electric car charging stations and 17 e-bike charging stations at the location. Furthermore, a photovoltaic system is also being planned for installation.

With this ambitious project, the region surrounding the former Matthias Stinnes colliery will become a desirable site for businesses to rent production, sales, storage, and office space, as well as showrooms and laboratories.

Due to its modern premises, diverse offer that can suit every business’ needs, as well as its excellent location in the heart of Germany’s most populated federal state, the new business park will certainly become one of the most attractive business hubs in this part of Germany.
