City of Verona is soon to become a filmset for the Netflix’s “Love in the Villa“, a film which follows a young woman who takes a trip to Verona and has to share her vacation with a cynical British man after they found out that the villa where they both intended to stay was double-booked.

Mayor of Verona Federico Sboarina stated: “The setting will be the streets, squares, the historic center of our city and other locations such as Juliet’s House, the Tomb and many others”.

Councilor for heritage of the municipality of Verona Andrea Bassi continued: “Mayor Federico Sboarina and his cultural colleague Francesca Briani immediately sensed the important opportunity for the image of the city and, needing the staff of a rather large and central location, as Heritage Councilor, I immediately got to work offering as operational base the former headquarters of the National Deaf Organization (at the Cloister of Sant’Eufemia, in the historic center).”

The film “Love in the Villa” is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2022.
