Mayor Dulkiewicz is leading Gdansk towards their climate goals
Aleksandra Dulkiewicz is a Polish lawyer and the mayor of Gdansk since 2019. She is the first female mayor of the Polish city.
Mayor Dulkiewicz was born on July 10, 1979 in Gdańsk. She studied law at the University of Gdańsk and Paris Lodron University in Salzburg. After that, she became an assistant to the former Mayor of Gdansk, Paweł Adamowicz.
Dulkiewicz was elected to the City Council of Gdansk twice, she was vice-chairman of the Local Government and Public Governance Committee and was active in the Revitalization Committee and the Fair Committee.
As the population of Gdansk is constantly growing, mayor Dulkiewicz wants to create a city that is functional for everyone trough projects that include intensive rebuilding and construction of the city’s urban structures. She also wants to create new centers in the rapidly developing parts of the city. She is the mayor who cares about the environment as is always trying to create new parks and green alleys in the city.
Mayor of Gdansk is ambitious about making public spaces people-friendly and by implementing many projects she aims to improve the quality of life in the city.

As mayor of Gdansk, Dulkiewicz is always encouraging the inhabitants of Gdańsk to think more economically and prudently.
The city of Gdansk adopted The Urban Climate Change Adaptation Plan for Gdańsk until 2030. This plan includes a vision and scenarios of the future via goals for the city’s adaptation to climate change. By implementing many green projects in the city, mayor of Gdansk is pushing the city towards climate goals and, at the same time, is making it more environmentally friendly and more sustainable.
