The outdoor sports festival returned to Olympic Park Munich
From climbing a huge wall to stand-up paddling on the Olympic lake, the yesterday’s Outdoor sports festival at Olympiapark Munich offered a wide range of activities for all the visitors.
Mayor of Munich Verena Dietl participated at the event and stated on social media: “I am very pleased that all sports enthusiasts had the opportunity to try out unusual sports. I also tested new sports and had a lot of fun in the mountain bike course.”
For around 55,000 Munich residents, the Olympic Park was the meeting point for outdoor sports. Whether on the mobile ski jumping facility or on the huge climbing wall, whether during stand-up paddling on the Olympic lake or paragliding on the Olympic mountain.
Due to the current situation, the implementation of the event had to be slightly adjusted compared to previous years. Nevertheless, the program offered an attractive and interactive outdoor sports events – whether climbing, bouldering or an adrenaline-filled flight with the Flying Fox through the Olympic Stadium.
The organizers, the Department for Education and Sport of the State Capital Munich and Olympiapark München GmbH, have been pleased about the great success of the outdoor sports festival since 2016, where visitors use the offer in the Olympic Park with a lot of enthusiasm, courage and curiosity.
