Valencia to modernise and expand four schools, boosting learning environment
Valencia is preparing to modernise and expand Lluís Vives, Teodoro Llorente, Raquel Payà and Salvador Tuset schools.
Headed by Mayor of Valencia Joan Ribó, city authorities pointed out that the projects are worth roughly EUR 23.4 million.
The Lluís Vives school project is worth nearly EUR 6.2 million and is to be completed in 12 months. As part of the project, a new building will be constructed to house a gym and a canteen, while the existing building will be modernised.
The Teodoro Llorente school project is also to be completed in 12 months and will cost more than EUR 7 million. It includes modernisation of the existing building and the area around it, with city authorities reminding that the school was built in 1948.
Modernisation of the Raquel Payà school is worth nearly EUR 5.3 million and is to be completed in 18 months. The existing building will be expanded and two new buildings will be constructed, with city authorities noting that the new canteen will have capacity for 200 pupils.
The Salvador Tuset school project is worth nearly EUR 4.8 million and is to be completed in 18 months. As part of the project, the school built in 1955 will be modernised and expanded, while other buildings in the complex will be demolished to make room for two new buildings.
The new school will have computer classrooms, a library and a multipurpose workshop.
