Zaragoza-Fuendetodos Goya Week – 4th edition
The Zaragoza-Fuendetodos Goya Week celebrates its fourth edition this year from September 19 to 27, with reduced programming adapted to the new normal. The activities will focus on gastronomy, tourism, and fashion.
Both the Zaragoza Chamber of Commerce and the Fuendetodos City Council, promoters of the project, have opted to maintain the celebration of this initiative that aims to promote the Goya brand and tourism around his figure.
Gastronomy, with the fourth edition of „Dish and Cover Week“; tourism, through guided visits to Goya“s Zaragoza; and fashion, with the design contest and catwalk „Aguja Goyesca“, are the main highlights of the program in the Aragon“s capital. Fuendetodos, as the painter“s hometown, will celebrate a reduced version of his traditional Goya festival with the staging of various works by the artist and a street art exhibition on the town“s building facades.
TOURIST ROUTES
The activities began last weekend with the first of the tourist routes to Goya“s Zaragoza, an initiative that will be repeated this Saturday and Sunday from 11.00 am. „Goya and the architecture of his time“ is the theme on which the tour that starts in the Plaza del Pilar, with the monument to Goya and the basilica revolves, to from there detail the facades of buildings such as the Archbishop“s Palace, La Seo, the Casa de los Lazán (House of Palafox), the Church of the Holy Cross, the Casa Tarín and the Palace of Sobradiel.

Furthermore, bars and restaurants in the center of Zaragoza, among them Puerta Cinegia Gastronómica, promote the „Tapa y el plato Week“, an initiative that has the support of Grandes Vinos and that is a nod to the food of the time in the one that the painter lived.
The closing activity around the Goya brand is the „Aguja Goyesca“ fashion contest, which will take place on Saturday with the celebration of the catwalk and the awards ceremony. The contestants have designed a collection based on the figure of Goya but created under current standards.
