Mayor Hidalgo brought the Olympic flag to Paris

Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo brought the Olympic flag in the capital of France which will be the organizer of the Olympics in 2024.

Mayor Hidalgo was very emotional when she came back to Paris, and she had a lot of reasons for being so. France won 33 Olympic medals in total; 10 gold medals, 12 silver ones and 11 bronze medals.

She stated: “The flag is the symbol that now, really, the Paris Games are coming and it will go very fast. Games will be very positive for our country.”

Mayor Hidalgo formally took over the flag during the Tokyo closing ceremony from International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach.

Paris 2024 organizers have been working very hard on the organization, and you can follow all the updates on the website: https://www.paris2024.org/en/.
Having previously hosted in 1900 and 1924, Paris will become the second city to host the Summer Olympics three times, after London (1908, 1948 and 2012). 2024 will mark the centenary of the Paris Games of 1924 and the sixth Olympic Games hosted by France.
The Games will be held from July 26 – August 11, 2024.
