Salone Nautico di Genova 2020

A 2020 Boat Show that, like the sea, is always on the move to welcome the whole world of pleasure boating that meets for six days in Genoa.

The Genoa International Boat Show 2020 is scheduled from Thursday 1st to Tuesday 6th October. Edition number 60 always takes place in the spaces of the Fiera di Genova. The largest boat show in the Mediterranean is the most representative event of the excellence of Made in Italy and welcomes, every year, sector operators and sea lovers with over 200,000 square meters of land and water.

Great expectations for the 2020 Boat Show, starting on Thursday, October 1, the 60th edition of the Salone Nautico di Genova, the only Boat Show in Europe in the era of the COVID emergency, which will take place from 1 to 6 October 2020.

Since 2018, the Genoa Boat Show has developed a new format: a multi-specialist show, an event which includes 4 complementary salons, and at the same time, characterized by their own identity. The boat show is divided into a TechTrade show dedicated to components and accessories, a sailing show (Sailing World), an outboard show (Boat Discovery), and a show with a Yacht and Superyacht area.

Genoa and Liguria will host the first exhibition dedicated to post-COVID boating. The organizers strongly wanted the Boat Show to be held, even in this very difficult context, but it was necessary to give a signal to restart, in particular for a strategic sector for the national economy and which needed this appointment to relaunch itself. The fact that it is held in Genoa, as per tradition, adds value to this vital event. The opening itself is a sign of the great effort made by all the companies involved, the reactivity of the system, and above all the desire to look to the future.

A new organization that creates added value also for future editions, as confirmed by the increase in the participation of foreign journalists, already accredited together with international buyers, from 20 countries.

Salone Nautico 2020: security measures, rules, and entrances

I Saloni Nautici, the Confindustria Nautica company that organizes the event, has overcome difficulties never experienced by choosing to apply more stringent measures than those indicated by the Decrees of the President of the Council of Ministers and the guidelines of the World Health Organization. The security protocol will be very strict: a pool of engineers and experts will constantly monitor the situation, tickets are sold only online, there will be two entrances, thermal scanners, automated gates, and routes precisely differentiated so that everything can happen while protecting the health of exhibitors and visitors. All those who want to participate will find a splendid and beautiful Genoa, ready to welcome them in safety.
