Mannheim: New milestone for medical innovations

The new building of the Mannheim Technology Park, which brings together clinics, researchers, and companies in the field of medicine, was officially opened last week, the city of Mannheim announced on its official website.

Mayor of Mannheim Peter Kurz, quoted by the city of Mannheim official website, stated: ‘’Today’s opening of the second building of TPMA GmbH is another significant milestone. The close proximity of various players from industry, clinics and research creates a competitive environment and promotes targeted cooperation for the efficient development and implementation of medical devices.’’

‘’The existing medical research and teaching at the highest level form an important starting point for this,’’ he continued.

L-Bank established Technologiepark Mannheim GmbH as a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2016. Since then, the Mannheim Technology Park has been an integral part of the Mannheim Medical Technology Campus, thanks to strong collaboration with the city of Mannheim.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of L-Bank Danyal Bayaz stated: “For Baden-Württemberg to remain successful, we also rely on strong and innovative healthcare industry. The Mannheim Technology Park offers perfect conditions for this. The close cooperation between companies, clinics, and research is unique in this form. The new laboratory building is a tailor-made space for companies in the fields of medicine and life sciences.’’
